Welcome to Destin High School Athletics
We are proud new members of the FHSAA
Great excitement is swarming all around the Destin High School Community about our rapidly evolving Athletic Program. The number of sports, student-athletes, and supporters has grown immensely since our school began in 2021.
During the fall sports season ahead, we look forward to cheering on our NEW Football Team along with the amazing members of the Golf, Cross Country, Swimming and Diving, Volleyball, Band, and Spirit programs. Great enthusiasm by our students and support from our school community has led us to offer 22 sports in our first ever year as a school! Destin High is the ideal place for all students who want to compete in multiple sports and enjoy great academic opportunities at the same time.
We look forward to having you join our Shark Shiver as a student-athlete, parent, athletic sponsor, or spectator at our home contests!
It’s a great day to be a shark!
PLEASE don’t forget that all students playing sports MUST be cleared on Athletic Clearance BEFORE being allowed to practice or play. For more details on Athletic Clearance, please CLICK HERE.
Thank you to our sponsors!

Athletic Clearance
ALL athlete’s MUST submit paperwork to be cleared to practice or play with any team
We have a new way of making sure that all of our Destin High School student athletes are in compliance with FHSAA requirements. EVERY student will now submit the paperwork required via the online portal at AthleticClearance.com as coaches will no longer be accepting the paper forms in person. There is a video & a PDF below with step by step instruction on how to navigate the AthleticClearance.com website. There is also a HELP button for assistance and an email for questions or problems within AthleticClearance.com. In addition, you may contact Mrs. Eubank at amanda@destinhighschool.org if you need further assistance.
ALL STUDENT ATHLETES MUST BE CLEARED IN ORDER TO PARTICIPATE!!!!
Please ensure your athlete has ALL of the following in order to clear the online process:
- EL2 Physical Form:
- The date of the signed physical MUST be within the last 365 days as we cannot accept expired physicals. If a physical’s expiration date occurs mid-season, a new one must be obtained before continuing your athletic season. Coaches and parents will receive an email alerting you that the physical is about to expire.
- If they have a 2022-2023 NON-EXPIRED physical on the OLD EL2 form, we MUST have the pages with the physicians signature, date of the physical, & the box checked clearing the student to participate.
- If they have a NON-EXPIRED physical on the NEW EL2 form, they will upload page 4 with the physicians signature, date of the physical, & the box checked clearing the student to participate.
- When students are getting new 2023-2024 physicals, PLEASE make sure to have a copy of the most recent EL2 form with you (not all physicians will have the updated form) as the old EL2 form will not be accepted dated after April, 2023.
- EL3 form is no longer required as it is now signed digitally on AthleticClearance.com
- Student Athletes must watch the 3 required NFHS videos(links to videos below) regarding concussions, cardiac arrest, and heat related illness every year. If you already have a NFHS account, please use your current username and password to watch. If you do not, please create an account. Videos must be watched every school year. After each video, it will give you the opportunity to receive a certificate. Once completed, please save or screen shot each certificate as you will need to upload each of those to your AthleticClearance.com account. We suggest watching the videos BEFORE starting the AthleticClearance.com process.
- FHSAA requires that all student athletes have at least a 2.0 unweighted GPA to be eligible for participation. If their GPA is lower they can participate at practice ONLY but are NOT allowed to be in uniform or participate in any games. GPA’s are pulled from the school at the beginning of each semester & input into AthleticClearance.com
- All student athletes must have insurance on file before participation in any sport. You will add this within Athletic Clearance, please make sure to have it available & completed in order to be cleared.
- If you are transferring into DHS from another HIGH SCHOOL ONLY, you will also need to complete the Affidavit of Compliance (GA4). This too must also be uploaded to your athlete’s AthleticClearance.com Account.
- If your child is a Home Schooling athlete you will also need to complete the EL7 & EL7V Home Schooling Form & the EL9 Home Education Student Academic Progress Report Form These completed forms will also need to be uploaded to your athlete’s AthleticClearance.com Account.
Page 4 of the Physical Form with the physicians signature & dated within 365 days will need to be uploaded to AthleticClearance.com
The certificate at the end of each of these videos (above) will need to be uploaded to AthleticClearance.com
