Mission statement
It is our goal to develop young women who are physically, mentally and emotionally strong through a love of the game of soccer. We want players to be responsible and accountable to themselves, teammates, coaches, teachers and parents. They will learn to deal with successes and disappointments on the field and take those lessons learned and apply them to life. Everyone on this team will understand that the success and development of our team will come before any individual accomplishments. We will strive for individual and team development. We want all players to compete always and be better than yesterday.
Core Values
Dependability: Your team depends on you to work hard, do your job and be where you need to be when you need to be there.
Responsibility: Both on and off the field. Being a part of the team means being part of something that is much bigger and more important than yourself.
Accountability: You are accountable to the team and to your teammates. You, alone are responsible for your actions. You dictate what you learn, how you play, how you act, and how you respond. You will accept the consequences of your actions, positive or negative.

Respect: We will always conduct ourselves respectfully. We will respect our teammates, coaches, teachers, officials, opponents and parents. We will respect the time and efforts all others have put in so we can be a part of this team. Every single role is an important role, without each and every person we would not have opportunity to play.
We strive through our mission and core values to develop young women who will move on from Destin HS and find success in their next stage of life.
Mrs. Courtney Peterson, Head coach of the girl’s soccer team. She has been coaching soccer for over a decade. Before coming to DHS, she has coached club soccer both here in Florida and in Maryland. She is also a Florida Youth Soccer Association state coach both at the state level and region level. She holds a USSF “D” license. Coach Peterson has a passion for taking the game of soccer and using it to teach life long skills that can be used both on the field and in life.
Coach Peterson went to school at the University of Pittsburgh, where she earned a Bachelor’s in Nursing. She practiced as a Labor and Delivery nurse until leaving to travel the US with her Navy husband. Her degree in nursing is a great addition to her coaching role and has fed into her passion for nutrition, strength training and injury prevention. After many moves in not so many years her husband’s retirement landed her permanently on the panhandle.
Off the fields Coach Peterson enjoys her family, 2 dogs and all her house plants. They enjoy all the beautiful beach days on the panhandle. Coach can also be caught at any sporting event she can get tickets to. Including, but not limited to watching her kids play lacrosse, soccer, basketball and flag football. If there is a game, good chance Coach Peterson is there watching.

2) Search School – Either “Destin High School” or search our opposing school if buying tickets for away games.
3) Select & Checkout
4) At the gate, you will open your ticket(s) via email or the GoFan app
5) Then you can select the ticket(s) you want to use
6) The gate attendant will direct you to press to validate tickets securely
7) A green checkmark will display to confirm that ticket(s) are valid
8) Enjoy your event!
Notes: Once you have signed up for an account, you may sign-in to that account in the future by visiting https://gofan.co/sign-in. This is the OFFICIAL ticket application for all FHSAA Event. Most high schools in the panhandle use this app for their ticketing. You can transfer tickets to family & friends.
