Destin High School Athletic Advisory Council Announces Pause on Varsity Lacrosse Program
Destin, FL – The Athletic Advisory Council of Destin High School (DHS) has announced a temporary pause of its varsity lacrosse program. This decision, based on various factors is effective immediately.
To address concerns and queries regarding this decision, DHS will host a Q&A session on Wednesday, December 6, from 4:00 PM to 4:30 PM. The session aims to provide clarity on the current decision and discuss the program’s potential future.
Students currently enrolled in lacrosse at DHS are encouraged to explore alternative options to continue playing. Guidance regarding these options is provided in the attached document and will also be discussed at the meeting on Wednesday.
The DHS Athletic Advisory Committee is evaluating the feasibility of maintaining lacrosse as a club sport. However, a final decision on the establishment of a club team will not be made until after the conclusion of the regular lacrosse season.
