Students: We have midterm exams Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday with a special midterm exam schedule. School will start at its normal time - 8am - but we will be dismissed after the 2nd exam period at 12:20. Busses will depart at 12:30. All exams are 2 hours, and you may not check in or out during the exam period; however, you MAY check in or out between exams. Lunch will be served between exams with a modified menu. There will be NO busses and NO lunch served on Thursday. That day is for makeup exams by appointment with your teacher. [...]

Attention Sophomores: Destin High School will be administering the PSAT for sophomores on October 23 at 8 AM, with the cost covered by the Florida Department of Education. The PSAT serves as excellent preparation for the SAT. When students take the PSAT again during their junior year, they may become eligible for the prestigious National Merit® Scholarship Program. All sophomore students are automatically registered for this test—no additional steps are needed. Attention Juniors: Destin High will be paying for and administering the PSAT on October 23 at 8 AM. Dual Enrollment parents and students: On October 21, 2024, at 5:30 p.m. in the Shark Tank (Auditorium) Mr. Means and Ms. Marsh will be offering an informational session for parents and students who have already qualified for dual enrollment. If you have a 3.0 GPA and have earned qualifying PERT scores, please join us to go over the Canvas Class that will show how to do “Request” forms starting on October 23, 2024. We will also go over how students can register themselves for classes at NWFSC on Nov. 12, 2024, for the spring semester.

We will be administering the Classic Learning Test (CLT) on April 24th at 8am. This College Entrance test is similar to the SAT & ACT. The scores can also be used as concordant scores for the FSA-ELA & Algebra I EOC. The fee for the test is $30. Autism Awareness Day April 2nd marks a significant day on the calendar, not just for Destin High School, but for communities worldwide – it's Autism Awareness Day. At Destin High, we believe in fostering an inclusive environment where every student feels valued and celebrated for who they are. This year, on April 2nd, we're proud to join the global movement in raising awareness about autism and promoting acceptance and understanding.      

Please attend a Dual Enrollment Session for more details & to sign up for the PERT test. Pert test is required in order to Dual Enroll.

Juniors you will be taking the SAT. All Juniors are already registered, as this is a free opportunity given by the State of Florida. You will see classroom on the assignments on the doors. Please report to your testing room as quick as possible. Our goal is to start at 8:15. Please be here on time.
