Hello, Shark Families!
The countdown is on—just three weeks remain until the start of an exciting new school year at Destin High School! We hope you're enjoying a wonderful summer and taking advantage of these last few weeks to relax, recharge, and make great memories. Before you know it, our hallways will once again be filled with students, learning, and Shark pride!
As we get closer to opening day, here are a few important reminders to help your family prepare.
💡 Charter School Fact of the Week
Did you know? Florida charter school teachers must meet the same Florida Department of Education certification requirements as teachers in traditional public schools. Charter school students also participate in the same statewide assessments and are held to the same rigorous academic accountability standards as every other Florida public school. At Destin High School, we combine that accountability with the flexibility to offer innovative programs and personalized opportunities for every student.🎨 Leave Your Legacy at Destin High School!
One of our newest traditions gives every Shark family the opportunity to leave a permanent mark on campus!Purchase a personalized ceiling tile that will be displayed in the hallways of Destin High School for years to come. Each graduating class will have designated hallway space, creating a lasting legacy for every student.
Ceiling Tile Details
- 💙 Cost: $50
- 🎨 Paint your tile using any colors or artistic design you'd like!
- ✨ Please include a positive message appropriate for a school setting.
- 📦 Ceiling tiles will be available for pickup during Student Readiness Day on August 7.
- 📅 Completed tiles must be returned to DHS by August 31 to be installed.
