As we continue our countdown to the first day of school, now is the perfect time to begin preparing for a successful school year while also supporting students and teachers in our community!

✅ This Week's School Readiness Checklist

Stock the Teacher Lounge
Drop off snacks, drinks, paper products, or other items at the school to support our amazing teachers as they prepare for a new year.



Begin Gathering School Supplies
Review the school supply list and start shopping early to avoid last-minute crowds. Our high school supply recommendations include essentials such as notebooks, pencils, binders, folders, highlighters, calculators, and a sturdy backpack.

Inventory Last Year's Supplies
Check backpacks, desks, and study spaces for reusable supplies and identify items that need replacing.

Support Students in Need
Donate new school supplies directly to the school to help ensure every student starts the year prepared for success.

Volunteer or Donate to Local Backpack Drives
Community organizations are already preparing for back-to-school distributions. Consider donating supplies, volunteering your time, or helping spread the word.

Purchase an Extra Backpack or Supply Kit
A small act of generosity can make a big difference for a student and family in need.

🎒 Community Backpack Giveaway

Saturday, July 18, 2026 | 8:00 AM – 12:00 PM
Destiny Worship Center will host backpack and school supply distributions at multiple locations throughout Northwest Florida, including Miramar Beach, Freeport, Crestview, Fort Walton Beach, Navarre, Panama City Beach, Panama City, and DeFuniak Springs.
Supplies are available on a first-come, first-served basis for K–12 students. Children must be present and proof of residency may be required.
